What is WHOIS

In simple words, it tells you more details of a domain name. Who owns a domain name, owner’s registration details, email, physical address etc.

WHOIS is a central database used to determine the domains and IP registrations and lists the owner contact email, phone number and address.

Note that if owner used a private registration, then only the registrar’s address and contact information will only be displayed.
